The Healing Power

            According to Betty Russell, president of Bio-Magnetic World™, the company was established to teach others how to benefit from alternative medicines.  At the time she formed Bio-magnetic World™, she had about 12 years of network marketing experience and several years in direct sales.  She knew this was an industry where positive news about a product would travel fast.

            But, Betty also had personal reasons for wanting to spread the word, quickly, about the health benefits of magnets.  In the late ‘70’s she had an accident that left her confined to a wheelchair with chronic pain.  She pulled three nerves and developed two blood clots that went through her lungs.

            Betty says, “The pain was so bad that I was sent to a psychiatrist to help me deal with it.”  For Betty, the medication literally changed her personality, making her less active, irritable and dulling her thinking abilities.

            She endured this agony for three years and was told by her doctors that she would have to live with the pain.  She recalls the major turning point in her life, “Then a friend told me of a reflexologist in the area.  At this point in time, I was willing to try anything to alleviate the pain.  After several of these treatments, I was introduced to herbs and the natural way to help my body to help itself.”

            This was the beginning of her desire to educate anyone she could on alternative health care.  Three weeks after she began reflexology treatments, Betty was out of the wheelchair.  She learned all she could about reflexology and certified to practice it.  That was when she was introduced to magnets.  Betty tried it on out of curiosity and says, “After 45 minutes of wearing the sock, I had 75 percent less pain in my leg.  I gave (my client) her session for free and told her I’d pay her for the sock because she wasn’t getting it back!”

            Betty was on a mission to find out everything she could about magnets.  She attended a seminar and came home with  $1,000 worth of products.  A network marketing company held the seminar and Betty was able to learn about that business and magnets at the same time.

            After about 12 years, Betty and her husband, Frank, started Bio-Magnetic World™.  She found such relief from the continued use of magnets, and rally wanted to focus her company on teaching people about magnets-giving them an education, not just a sales pitch.  She says, “It’s very important to use magnets properly.  So, we train people on how to use them-we educate customers on proper use and ways to avoid misuse.”

            “You can reach more people with network marketing.  It’s the easiest way to spread the word.  If you have one satisfied person, they’ll want to tell 10,” adds Betty.

            Bio-Magnetic World™ makes about 50 percent of their orthopedic products and the rest are purchased from other manufacturers.  According to Betty, they want to be involved as closely as possible from the development of a product to the sale and education.

            She has seen the concept of magnetic therapy catching on in the last two years among people with medical problems as well as those in the medical community.  Bio-magnetic World™ distributors have found that people are ready for a change.  They’re taking chard of their lives and want to know what options are available for improving their health.  Once they discover the benefits of magnets, the business part of Bio-Magnetic World™ becomes more appealing and provides them with yet another way to change their lives.

            As Betty says, “What I want to accomplish is helping people with their pain and illness.  I now travel the U.S. holding magnetic therapy seminars, teaching people how to use magnetic therapy products to help with pain and illness.  It is very rewarding for me when I return to hold a second or third seminar and people stand up and thank me for helping them.”

MAGNETIC SPORT SHORTS

Bio-Magnetic World™ has created “sport shorts” for men who suffer from prostate problems.  Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men and the second leading cause of cancer deaths.  This year, the American Cancer Society projects 184,500 new cases of prostate cancer in the U.S. and 39,000 deaths.

These magnetic shorts are made out of 92 percent cotton and eight percent Lycra, with six magnets sewn into the bottom, strategically placed near the prostate, according to Dean Reinke, Vice President of Bio-Magnetic World™.  “The results are a very comfortable pair of shorts that do not ride up-they stay in place for almost any type of activity: jogging, biking, tennis, basketball, handball, etc.” said Reinke.
